MINIs mascot, Spike, enters digital world

Spike, our four legged bulldog friend for the last 20 years, has made a leap into the digital world. Spike was originally the designated the brand’s mascot back in 2001. A bulldog was chosen to match the compact but powerful stature of the MINI and also shared it’s British heritage. Now, Spike makes an appearance in the digital world and will accompany you in your driving experience in the upcoming 4th generation cars. You will be able to see Spike in action in his new role in the upcoming MINI Aceman as your digital driving companion. First glances of Spike can be seen at the Auto Shanghai International Trade Fair from April 18 - April 27.

Spike will also be made into large sculptures and as an art toy. I look forward to interacting with Spike in not only upcoming models, but giving this good boy some head pats when he becomes an action figure available for purchase in the future. I hope the MINI logo nose pad makes it into the final version when we see it. Until then, you can look for a Spike spotting scattered throughout the MINIverse.
